Event submission policy.

At Comedy Boise, our mission is to promote and celebrate local comedy by providing a platform where comedians and venues can share their events with the community. To ensure consistency and quality, all submissions must follow the guidelines below:

1. Eligibility

  • Events must be comedy-focused (stand-up, improv, sketch, open mics, etc.).

  • Submissions must be from comedians, producers, or venues located in or around the Boise area.

  • Events must be open to the public (no private or invite-only shows).

2. Submission Requirements

  • Event Title, Date, Time, and Venue.

  • A short description of the event (50–200 words).

  • A promotional image or flyer.

  • Ticket/RSVP link (if applicable).

  • Contact information for follow-up.

3. Review & Approval

  • All submissions will be reviewed by Comedy Boise staff before being published.

  • Comedy Boise reserves the right to decline or edit submissions for clarity, accuracy, or appropriateness.

  • We do not guarantee promotion of every event submitted.

4. Content Standards

  • Submissions must not include discriminatory, hateful, or harmful content.

  • Promotional images must be suitable for general audiences (no explicit or offensive graphics).

  • Comedy Boise may edit descriptions for grammar, formatting, or length.

5. Deadlines

  • Events should be submitted at least 7 days before the show date for the best chance of promotion.

  • Late submissions may not be guaranteed placement on the website or social media.

6. Promotion

  • Approved events may appear on the Comedy Boise website, social media pages, and email newsletters.

  • Comedy Boise reserves the right to determine how and where each event is promoted.

7. Responsibility

  • Submitters are responsible for ensuring event details are accurate and up to date.

  • Comedy Boise is not responsible for canceled or rescheduled events.
